Developing a strong professional and research identity is a critical, and often underexamined, component of graduate education in STEM. In this one-hour web event, principal investigators from NSF Innovations in Graduate Education (IGE) and EDU Core Research (ECR) share project findings about graduate students’ STEM identity formation.

Through brief, focused presentations followed by facilitated breakout discussions, speakers will highlight program designs, mentoring practices, and learning environments that promote healthy STEM identity formation. Participants will engage directly with project leaders, ask questions, and exchange ideas that can be adapted to their own graduate programs.
